January Blues English gap filling
Michael
I know 15…………… people mean when they say they get the ‘winter blues’ 16…………….. I also find the 17……………. of light in December and January can make me feel a bit down. The worst month for me is November, 18………….. There isn’t any more nice weather, the days get 19………… shorter, and it’s a long, long time until you can see signs of spring. You can’t even say Christmas is just 20…………….. – it’s still a few weeks 21………………….. I know some people say January is their 22……………. favourite month, but in January I’m usually looking forward 23…………. skiing somewhere. I 24…………….. go skiing in January or February, usually in France. It’s one of the highlights of my year and 25……………… makes winter much more 26………………...

I’ve never found January a 27………….. difficult month to 28……………...
29…………………, I absolutely love those days in mid-winter when it’s sunny and freezing cold – it’s so invigorating, and you get gorgeous sunsets 30……………... In weather like that my husband and I usually 31……………… the dog out for a long walk in the country and stop off at our local pub on the 32…………….. back home – they always have a lovely 33…………………….. fire and it’s so warm and cosy. Also, the thing with winter is that you don’t have 34……………… expectations about the weather. 35…………………….. you don’t expect to be sitting in the garden or 36……………… a barbecue. In July and August, though, that’s exactly 37………….. you expect – and we’ve 38………………. done it at all these last two summers because the weather 39………….. so cool and wet. Now that’s what I call 40……………..
