Incredible Criminals

A televison set was stolen from a Liverpool police station, while officers were out fighting crime.

Fugitive James Sanders, who escaped from jail in 1975, was arrested in Texas after ringing the FBI to ask if he was still on its ‘wanted’ list.

An 85-year-old man was stopped and escorted off the M4 motorway by the traffic police because he was riding in a wheelchair. The wheelchair  was being pushed/was pushed along in the slow lane by his 65-year-old son.

Burglar Frank Gort broke down in court and cried when he was sentenced to seven years in jail, claiming it was his unlucky number. The understanding judge took pity and gave him eight years instead.

A thief who stole a bottle of whisky from a supermarket was arrested for shoplifting when he went back for a bottle of Coke.

Police cars were involved in a dramatic chase when an 18-year-old, driving his parents’ new car reached 160 kilometres per hour before he was stopped by traffic police and was escorted off the motorway.

Yesterday two men were arrested in London, after a bank had been robbed the day before. It is believed that the robbers used a car that had been reported stolen two days earlier. The car was found abandoned several miles away. The two suspects were taken to the police station for questioning. The money has not been found yet. The robbers were found easily and quickly as the mother of one of them called the police when she saw her little boy in a mask and got frightened.
