The truth about life with Sharon Stone

When I married a movie star I knew the papers 1………………… make up stories – I’m an editor too.

Yes, it’s true. I’m 2……………… one, the guy they call El Macho. The only thing is, I don’t know who “they” are. I know 3………………… I am, more or 4……………………, but I don’t know the man these people claim 5……………… know. Of course, what they write is not really about 6…………………. Is it?

I’d love it if people at supermarket checkouts 7……………… interested in me because I am the executive editor of The San Francisco Examiner. But what they are interested in is the fact 8………………… I married a movie star. On the world stage, I’m Mr Sharon Stone.

On one level, I understand the obsession. We run celebrity stories, 9………………… gossip, in The Examiner. But what I don’t understand is 10……………… they get this stuff from.

They say people were 11………………… my wedding whom I have yet to meet; they insist my wife was pregnant 12……………… we got married; they claim I’m running for mayor of San Francisco; the day we 13……………… back from a lovely Mexican vacation, my wife and I saw on the news-stands that we 14………………… broken up. But the one I liked best 15………………… the story in a mainstream newspaper (The Irish Independent) describing my wife’s purchase of 16………………… Irish home. Great, but not a single piece of it is true.
